Why we do what we do

We believe that every child is gifted

At Arim Foundation, our mission is to empower foster and underserved youth for

their success in a community that promotes learning, creation, and collaboration.

Our vision is simple: we want to see all foster and underserved youth achieve

their full potential. Through our programming and partnering with other

organizations in the community, we look forward to a time when every youth in

the community has the resources to be the star of their own success story.

Volunteer With Arim Foundation

We need you!
If you’re interested in volunteering with Arim Foundation, there’s good news – we
need your help!
Below are a number of positions we’d like to fill. Additionally, we can ALWAYS use
general purpose volunteers to help with events and other activities.

If you can help in any of these positions, reach out to our Executive Director, Jim
Clements, at info@arimfoundation.org. Whether you volunteer once or keep
coming back, thank you!
Here are a few specific volunteer positions we’re in need of filling:

  • Workshop Instructors
In 2023 we’re planning on starting a series of evening and weekend workshops.
These workshops could be over any number of topics, such as art projects, paper
crafting, woodworking, welding, 3D printing, laser engraving, sewing,
photography, and more! If you have a hands-on skill or trade you can teach, we’re
    interested!

  • “Girls in STEM” Facilitators
We’re in search of ladies who can help us start up and run a “Girls in STEM”
program. This program will work with teen girls, exposing them to various STEM
and trade areas that are offered at the makerspace.
    Mezzanine Sorters and Organizers
Our upper-level mezzanine is where we store everything that the makerspace isn’t
immediately using. It’s in serious need of organization and sorting. We’re looking
for a volunteer or volunteers who can help us go through the mezzanine, sort
what’s there, and help organize it.
    Mobile Makerspace Crew
our mobile makerspace goes out into the community and hosts workshops for all
ages. We need volunteers who can join us at these events and help host them!
Note: these volunteers aren’t needed during winter months when the mobile
    makerspace isn’t going out.
  • Volunteer Coordinator
Do you like working with volunteers and helping them find rewarding roles? If so,
the volunteer coordinator position may be for you! We need a person who can
help us organize our volunteer list and help us reach out to volunteers to help
cover needs for events and activities.
    Technology Guru
Do you have an interest in maintaining computers, setting up servers, and
keeping various pieces of technology in line? We need a technology guru at Made
New. You would help us set up and maintain our file server and help us ensure
that computers and technology are all working as they should.
  • Community Outreach Coordinator
The community outreach coordinator is a person who loves to make connections.
We need someone who can get out into the community and help us meet and
make partnerships with local businesses and members of the community. This
role would also help us understand and address needs in our community.
  •
  • Fundraising Coordinator
We need someone who can help us raise the funds we need to keep going. The
fundraising coordinator will help us identify and apply for sources of funding in
the community. They will also work with current and potential donors, ensuring
they know how their donations are put to use to support the community.
Interested in helping in some way that’s not listed here? That’s awesome!
    Email info@arimfoundation.org and let’s talk!
Do you want to volunteer, but you don’t have the ability to do so? Become a
virtual volunteer! Using the form below, you can make a donation in the value of
an hour or more of your time. This is a great way to help out when you can’t
    physically be present!
